Acrylic Skyscapes

One of things (other than basketball!) that gets me through the depths of winter in the PNW – when the sun doesn’t come up until sometime after my second cup of coffee – is watching the sunrise.

The back deck on our house faces due east and we are high up enough (and lucky enough) to have views of the Cascade mountains. Watching the sky fill with color on those early winter mornings makes the long wait until spring bearable.

These painting are all done using reference photographs taken from our deck. More skyscapes can be seen here.
